Your Accomplishments Aren't Just for You
How Your Unique Abilities and Circumstances Can Bless Others in Ways Others Can't
"Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely." Of all the quotes posted on the wall of my highschool history class, that is the one my eyes kept going to time and time again. Eventually, I realized it wasn't quite true. Power does not itself corrupt, introducing darkness where there once was only light. No, power reveals what is already in our hearts and very often what it reveals is dark and evil.
Power itself is neutral but what one does with it can be good or evil, driven by the heart of the one wielding it.
Money is power. It likewise is neutral while revealing the heart of the one who has and uses it.
Yet because it is power, many who don't have much of it believe those who have a lot of it are corrupt. The common thought in these cases is either the money corrupts those who have much of it, or they got much of it because they were corrupt and dark to begin with.
The Bible tells us such beliefs are false and untrue.
